Wink Restaurant & Wine Bar
Luke Duncan and I decided to celebrate our official 4 months with dinner and drinks! He surprised me by taking me to Wink, it’s so quaint and romantic. For the starters, I got the golden & bull’s blood beets with chevre, walnuts, fiji apple, and apple cider vinaigrette. Ugh, you can never go wrong with beets and man, was this divine! Luke got chilled elephant garlic soup with brioche croutons and arugula pesto. Super garlicky and perfect to dip with their toasty ciabatta bread! For the main course, I ordered the sautéed tilefish with yukon potatoes, king trumpets, arugula, capers, and bacon remoulade. Tilefish is a perfect meaty flaky fish that holds well with these flavors. And for the meat man, he ordered the NY strip with celeriac, rattlesnake beans, shittakes, and hollandaise. The final end to the meal was the Wink trio sample dessert! Man oh man does someone know how to feed me (and get me drunk)!
